At the Xiangyi Intelligent Construction Base within the Hunan Province Construction Machinery Supporting Industry Park (the Feidi Park of the Changsha Economic Development Zone), Building No. 2 is rapidly rising, while the multi-purpose office building and several multi-story factory halls are poised for operation. Meanwhile, the adjacent Building No. 1 has already entered trial operations. Remarkably, this brand-new facility took just four months from conception to completion and the launch of trial production—a pace that has drawn widespread admiration. Xia Jie, General Manager of Hunan Xiangyi Intelligent Construction Machinery Co., Ltd., remarked with emotion: “These achievements would not have been possible without the park’s comprehensive support at every stage.”

Xiangyi Intelligent is a specialized manufacturer of tower cranes, integrating R&D, production, sales, and service. It also serves as a standard supplier to major domestic manufacturers of large‑scale tower cranes. As the second company nationwide to operate an electrophoretic coating line, Xiangyi Intelligent, now located in the Feidi Industrial Park, is currently conducting commissioning and installation of its production lines, with production expected to commence after the Lunar New Year. At that time, the standard sections of its tower cranes will boast corrosion resistance sufficient to remain rust‑free for 20 years, marking a significant milestone in the industry.

“Once completed, annual output will reach RMB 1 billion, generating tax revenues of RMB 30 million and creating more than 400 jobs,” said Xia Jie. The newly built plant in the off‑site industrial park covers 90 mu of land, with an investment of approximately RMB 300 million, and will be developed in three phases. Upon completion, the company is poised to rank among the top three producers of standard tower‑crane components in Hunan Province, with its products sold across all Chinese provinces and exported to overseas markets including Russia, Africa, and the Middle East.

“Hunan is China’s largest base for construction machinery, yet it has long faced the challenge of strong original equipment manufacturers and weak supporting industries. However, thanks to vigorous efforts to strengthen, supplement, and extend the industrial chain, collaborative development among OEMs and component suppliers has begun to take shape,” Xia Jie told reporters. Under this trend, Xiangyi Intelligent’s expansion not only aligns with the provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology’s industrial strategy but also makes it highly necessary for the company to establish a presence in the Miluo Off‑Site Industrial Park and the Hunan Province Construction Machinery Supporting Industries Park.

According to reports, as the construction of Hunan Province’s engineering machinery supporting industrial park progresses and focuses on developing core foundational components for the engineering machinery sector, the entire industry chain is set to expand and upgrade. Xiangyi Intelligent, as one of the key production bases for critical and common‑use components, will help significantly boost Changsha’s local component‑supply rate and overall supply‑chain sophistication.

“The industrial park has specially assigned two dedicated clerks to assist us with contract signing, obtaining land-use permits, real‑estate certificates, and a host of other procedures—and they’ve done it remarkably quickly. For instance, once all the required documents were in order, it took us just two days to secure our construction permit, whereas elsewhere that would typically take at least half a month,” recalled Zeng Jing, Chairman of Hunan Xiangyi Intelligent Engineering Machinery Co., Ltd., expressing repeated satisfaction with the park’s services. “We’re truly gratified: as a private enterprise, the park has provided us with substantial support—both in terms of human resources, policy guidance, and service delivery.”
